30 Days to a Happier Self -September Challenge 

*pinch punch* .. So, August has been a pretty bloomin’ lovely month, if I may say so myself, in spite of the bipolar British weather. (What else would I expect of British summertime.) It’s been especially lovely for me, because I started the month by celebrating my daughters first birthday! It was a fabulous day, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all involved. And September is off to another wonderful start, as today I watch one of my dear friends marry the love of her life. And who doesn’t love a good wedding?!

Anywho, whenever a new month is on the horizon, my creative side seems to suddenly come to life; I’ll come over all impulsive, and find a sudden surge in motivation. My training is going great at the moment, and I don’t think that it’s necessary to make any big fitness goals at this stage. Similarly with my nutrition, I’m really happy with how things are going, currently on a 70/30 balance (70% healthy  wholesome foods, 30% of the time who gives a damn), so I’m not looking to change anything up there either.

So, in light of my most recent blog post The Rocky Road To Self Love, I have decided to set myself a challenge; 30 happy little habits to introduce throughout the month of September. I have complied a list of simple tasks that require very little effort but result in a smile, and a lovely feeling of content. Some of these will be fairly straightforward, and easily achievable on multiple occasions, where as others will require a little more mindfulness (and a pen and paper). The point in the exercise is just to sprinkle a little bit of extra happiness into my life, through those simple pleasures that are so easily achieved, but too often taken for granted.

So, if you too feel the impulse to inject some additional happiness into your life, maybe you’ll join me on this 30 day challenge. You are more than welcome to repeat exercises, (in fact I’d encourage it!) but the aim is to complete all 30 practises, (at least one each day of the month) in no particular order, by the end of September.
